Women valued for their bodies, possessive at times abusive men (which always seems to be justified by a rough past or secrets), centered on male pleasure, sex regarded as the fix-it-all of any relationship, male characters getting to express out loud what they want, female characters apparently can't express what they want on their own voice and when they do they aren't listened. It was after the first few pages everything took a turn for the worse. ![]() Blair, the lead female role, was presented as a strong young woman who can take care of herself. But of course, the male characters embody the concept of "masculinity" boys are fed from a young age, not leaving any room for raw emotions and respect for women. It could have been great if the story line didn't follow the same pattern most of NA stories do. ![]()
